A couple of days before it began

Saturday, October 16- we began taking all the stuff out of the sunroom so it could be demolished. This is a not a fun process- but perhaps a cleansing one. I was semi- paralyzed for this. I got bogged down in 20 year old journals and clippings for painting ideas. We had to put almost everything in the garage - which has not been our favorite place since the neighborhood skunks decided to try to make it their home earlier in the year. We had spread skunk deterrent and barricaded the front of the garage after making sure and hoping Flower was no longer there. No one went in the garage. So Jim stepped up, cleaned the space up, threw away a ton of stuff and moved the tables, flat files, cupboards and paintings and covered everything up with plastic. I helped, but really was better the next day - when the cleaning part happened. I was embarrassed to have a really dirty room demolished. Who knows why.
