Week Seven - November 29-December 3

An amazing week- we can visualize the room now!
Monday- After the freezing cold weekend- the room is ready for framing. Here's the morning....
And here's the evening!
Tuesday- It was so incredible to come home, walk around the room- you could see how it's going to look-the reading nook, places for the windows and the closet (the beautiful closet in comparison to what is!!) and the bath and walk-in shower-all the places are laid out!
Wednesday- The windows came today! They won't be in until later - but they're here.

Thursday- The roof trusses were delivered this morning- and up by the end of the day! Now the bad stuff resurfacing-it seems the existing roof has five layers of old roofing- another big no no. Not only that, the edges of roof are sagging on both sides and there is a lot of rotted wood. Many of the little Craftsman support beams are chopped off and just nailed in- no support there! So- yet again- more fixing. It's amazing what's been uncovered in the process of doing this addition- amazing the house hasn't completely fallen apart or burned down!! Jim is up with Todd on the room checking out the disaster there. Camelia may be worried Jim might take a wrong step!
Friday- All day spent working on fixing the roof. Rob and Mike were here until 6pm working on it and then covering with plastic. It was really cold and got dark-they were up there with lights on their hats. They are so conscientious-and nice-and funny! I can't believe the universe managed to give us these guys to help us. We are very fortunate.
