Week Twelve - January 3-7

Monday- We bought the bathroom sink yesterday- and I'm looking at paint colors for the room!
Tuesday- Brian worked on the siding all day. Here's a pic of the north side-has to have hardiboard siding for fire prevention-hum-the rest of the house is redwood-interesting fire prevention concept!
Wednesday- I ordered a medicine cabinet online from Lowes and picked it up after work- who even knew you can do this. Also- who knew things like towel bars and toilet paper holders are $50/each!
Thursday- Mike and I discussed the vanity and window trims. More detail happening all the time. Windows and door now have more trim. Need to get to Restoration Hardware to look at the paint chips.

Friday- Drywall guys sanded the walls.
Rob came and we talked about all the rest of the things we have to do in the project-some fun, some not. Biggest horrible thing is dealing with the water under the house and keeping it out- looks like a sort of French drain on the north side with another sump pump. Then we have to put cement walkway around the house to keep water from coming in. This means digging out more dirt from the back than we thought -the slope there is greater than any of us thought. Could make what's left of the back yard weirder than it already was going to be. Also have to have the eves painted, the other bathroom fixed (new tub, floor and wall tile), new front door. It goes ever on.
